Who is responsible

Trade Control AI is responsible for the data described here.

The short version

  • Protector Light runs without an account. If you use it for free we never learn your name or your email.
  • We never receive your broker credentials, and Protector Light never sends us your accounts, positions, orders or balances.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
  • Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them.

When you visit this website

We measure visits ourselves, without cookies: which pages are viewed, the page you came from and any campaign tag in the link, your language, your screen size, your browser type and your approximate country. Each browser tab gets a random identifier that disappears when you close it, so we cannot recognise you on your next visit. We do not store your IP address with these visits.

Google Analytics only loads if you accept cookies in the banner. If you reject them it never runs, and everything on the site works the same.

To stop abuse, some forms and downloads count requests per IP address. That counter is the only place where your IP address is kept as such.

If you arrive through a partner link, we store a cookie in your browser with that partner's name for 90 days. It holds nothing about you: it only remembers who sent you, so the partner can be credited.

When you download Protector Light

We record that a download happened: the date, the version, and whether it came from this website or from the update notice inside the product. Nothing that identifies you.

If you arrived through a partner link, we also record that partner's name and a one-way fingerprint of your IP address: a code calculated from it that cannot be turned back into the address. We delete that fingerprint after 14 days. Without a partner link, no fingerprint is stored.

While Protector Light is open

Since the version released on 9 October 2026, Protector Light contacts our server when NinjaTrader starts and every five minutes after that. It sends three things: an identifier of your computer, the version you have installed, and whether a licence is active.

The computer identifier is a code calculated from your hardware. It does not contain your name, your email or your Windows user. It is the same identifier used to tie a licence to a computer.

We keep one record per computer, overwritten on every contact: the last time we saw it, its version, and whether it is licensed. We use it for two things: to count how many copies are in use, and to tell you inside the product that there is a new version or a notice from us.

The first time we see a computer, we compare the fingerprint of its connection with those of recent downloads made through a partner link. If one matches, we note that partner's name in the computer's record, so the partner can see how many installations came from their link. The IP address of that contact is not stored.

Protector Light keeps working with no internet connection. If that contact fails, nothing happens.

When you buy Protector Light

Payment is handled by Stripe. We receive and keep your email address, what you bought, the amount, the discount code if you used one, and the identifier of each computer you activate (up to three). We use your email to send you the licence and to help you if something goes wrong.

If the discount code belongs to a partner, or you arrived through a partner link, the sale is recorded against that partner so their commission can be calculated.

If you have a Trade Control AI account

The full system needs an account. We keep your email and name, your plan and its subscription status, and the identifier of the computer where it runs.

To show your dashboard and your journal, your NinjaTrader sends us the trading data of the accounts you connect: account names, orders, executions and results. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who processes data for us

  • Google Cloud and Firebase: hosting, database and sign-in. Servers in the United States.
  • Stripe: payments and invoices.
  • Resend: the emails we send you.
  • Google Analytics: only if you accepted cookies.

How long we keep it

While you use the product or keep your account. Apart from the 14-day fingerprint described above, there is no automatic deletion on a timer, so if you want something removed, write to us and we remove it. The exception is what the law obliges us to keep, such as invoices.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to hand you a copy, or to stop using it. Write to the address above and tell us the email you bought with or, if you use Protector Light for free, the computer identifier shown in its licence window. If you are in the European Union you can also complain to your data protection authority; in Spain, the AEPD.

Changes

When what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
